LCD Display: ALARM EMPTY BATTERYAlarm: Empty BatteryCause: The battery no longer has sufficient power to run the pump. (If thebattery pack is being used, both it and the “C size” batteries are depleted).Resolution: Turn the pump off. Replace both of the “C size” batteries. Check for excessive pressure on the IVbag and relieve it. When ready to begin infusion, select RESUME.ALARM REPLACE SET#Replace SetThe pump has detected that the disposable administration set must bereplaced.Replace the disposable administration set, prime the set if necessary, andwhen ready to begin infusing, select RESUME to continue the infusion.ALARM SET NOT INSTALLEDAdministration Set Not InstalledThe administration set has not been installed or has been installedimproperly.Install appropriate <strong>Curlin</strong> <strong>Med</strong>ical Administration set for desired therapy.Use ONLY <strong>Curlin</strong> <strong>Med</strong>ical Administration sets. If the blue tubing guideon the administration set has been damaged in any way, replace the entireadministration set. See Chapter entitled Introduction, Figures 1.9 and 1.10for proper installation of administration set.ALARM UNATTENDED PUMPNo key presses have occurred while the pump was pausedWhen a therapy is in progress and a pump is placed in a paused state andleft unattended for more than two minutes, this alarm will sound. If theprime menus are left unattended for one minute, this alarm will soundPress the “PAUSE” key to clear the alarm screen. If required, return tothe screen displayed at the time of the alarm and complete the activity thatwas in progress, or resume the infusion, or turn the pump off.132
