To resumethe unfinished therapy, press “RUN”.Entering a New Program3 NEW PROGRAM: To program an entirely new prescription or different therapy, press the“YES/ENTER” key at this field (the ability to change these parameters may be controlled bythe lock setting). The display will return to the “Select Therapy Screen” if more than onetherapy mode is enabled, or to the “Pre-Prescription Screen” of the single therapy mode. Ifthe current container has not completely infused, the following screen will appear:a. This screen is a reminder that the infusion is not complete. If you want to return to thecurrent container and finish infusing it, press the “NO/CHANGE” key to return to thePause Menu screen.b. To abort the current container and enter a new program, press the “YES/ENTER” key.If a prescription has previously been entered for the therapy mode you wish to program,the following screen will appear:c. If you want to save the current prescription, press the “NO/CHANGE” key to return tothe Pause Menu screen. If you wish to erase the current prescription and enter a newprogram, press the “YES/ENTER” key to proceed. All previous prescription values willbe erased.Note: Selecting “NEW PROGRAM” will also reset the OPTIONS selected to their defaultsettings except for the LOCK and AUDIO settings which must be changed manually.Infusion CompleteWhen the infusion is complete, the audio alarm will beep, and the following screen will display:Note: To temporarily silence the alarm, press the “Silence” key.TPN Infusion Complete84
This screen displays:1 “INFUSION COMPLETE.”2 A graphic representation (completely filled in bar graph) indicating infusion complete, or thesmaller “dot” configuration (shown here) if a KVO RATE is programmed.3 TOT Vol (Total Volume): Displays the total volume infused.4 KVO Rate: The preset KVO rate displays.5 Infusion Complete is considered an alarm status, and the audio alarm will beep periodically(every 3 seconds if there is no KVO, every 20 minutes if there is a KVO) to alert the user tothis condition. Additionally, the LED lights blink to alert you to the status of the pump. Thegreen light blinks when the KVO rate is infusing (if one is programmed) and the red lightblinks to indicate that the “Infusion Complete” alarm exists.Stopping the InfusionTo halt the infusion at “Infusion Complete”, press the “PAUSE” key and then choose to either:1 Turn off the pump by pressing the “OFF” key, orTPN Therapy2 Select one of the options from the “Pause” screen:Pause Menu Screena. REPEAT Rx: To repeat the present therapy and add another IV container with the sameprescription, press the “YES/ENTER” key at this field. If more than one therapy isprogrammed, a “Select Therapy Screen” will list all preprogrammed therapies. Selectwhich therapy to repeat by moving the cursor to the therapy of choice and pressing the“YES/ENTER” key.The pump will then display the program screens with the last programmed values of thetherapy and the cursor will automatically advance through the prescription menus. Youcan stop the auto-advance function by pressing any key (except ON/OFF) and thencomplete the confirmation of the prescription manually by pressing the “YES” key at theremaining fields.b. NEW PROGRAM: To program an entirely new prescription or different therapy, pressthe “YES/ENTER” key at this field and the display will return to the “Select TherapyScreen.” (The lock setting can control access to this function.)Note: The therapy is complete; therefore, RESUME is not an option at this time and is notdisplayed.85
