Access CodeClinician Access Code ScreenThe clinician enters a four-digit personal identification number followed by the five-digit accesscode; and, if the code is valid, the display will automatically move to the requested screen or field.The four-digit personal identification number appears on the screen but the access code numbersdo not; instead five asterisks appear. The personal identification number is recorded in thehistory file for the purpose of providing an audit trail. If an invalid code is accidentallyentered, a message displays: “Invalid Code,” and the clinician can reenter the correct code.Note: After entering the access code, DO NOT press the “YES/ENTER” key. The pump willautomatically recognize the correct code and give you access to the secured section.IMPORTANTINFORMATIONIf an access code screen displays and the access code is not known,use the down arrow to move the cursor to the “EXIT?” field. Pressthe “YES/ENTER” key at this field to return to the previous screenand make another selection.
