Figure 8-110 provides the tableof contents for our standard user manual whichwill be reviewed and updated as needed tosatisfy the Department's requirements.Figure 8-111 provides the flow that TeamNoridian will utilize to prepare the userdocumentation for the new MMIS. This workflow does not change the deliverable process asthose steps will still be performed for eachdeliverable. Rather, it shows the timing of theactivities associated with preparing userdocumentation for the new MMIS.Team Noridian will begin establishing theconcept for the user documentation andknowledge transfer materials early in theanalysis and design portion of theimplementation phase, in conjunction withrequirements validation. We will start with theuser documentation and training materialsdeveloped for the Washington MMIS (WAMMIS) project as the base documents. TheDXDs for a user documentation are approvedby the Department, Team Noridian and theDepartment will walk-through the comparabledeliverable from other Team Noridian MMISprojects to determine if the material can bereused by updating it to reflect the new MMISdesign or if new material needs to be developedto meet the Department's needs. Since we donot envision significant changes in how the userwould navigate and use the new MMIS, ourpremise is that a large portion of the existingmaterial, when updated to reflect new MMISscreens will be reusable. But as with systemdocumentation, validation of that premisewill occur using the post DXD walk-throughwhich will compare existing materialto DXD requirements.At the completion of this walk-through, once thereusable objects have been updated to reflect theupdated design, we will prepare the userFigure 8-110.
