Leucine dehydrogenase
Bacillus sphaericus
● At high concentrations of the substrate trimethylpyruvate (of industrial quality), the enzymes
are inhibited.
● The productivity of the process is not limited by the enzymatic reaction but by chemical reactions
because at higher ammonia and keto acid concentrations the formation of by-products is
increased.
● The enzymes are recycled after an ultrafiltration step.
