It can be removed continuously by filtration as bisulfite adduct. The bisulfite acts also as buffer to maintain constant pH during synthesis. ● The lipase is also inhibited by Co 2+ ,Ni 2+ ,Fe 2+ ,Fe 3+ and EDTA, but can be activated by Ca 2+ and Li + . ● Apparent V max for hydrolysis of (+)MPGM is 1.7 U · mg Protein –1 .
