Union <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 9.<br />

Humphrey Rebekah <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 136, located at DeKalb, and Faith<br />

Rebekah <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 218, located at Malta, were consolidated on Jan.<br />

24, 1913, by Sister Nellie Allen, P.N.G., <strong>of</strong> Sycamore. The consolidated<br />

<strong>Lodge</strong> took <strong>the</strong> name and number <strong>of</strong> Humphrey Rebekah <strong>Lodge</strong> No.<br />

136.<br />

SUBORDINATE LODGES CLOSED.<br />

Subordinate <strong>Lodge</strong>s have been closed during <strong>the</strong><br />

Curran <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 960, located at Curran, in Sangamon county,<br />

was closed on May 1, 1913, by Bro. A. C. Low, P.G., <strong>of</strong> Springfield, who<br />

remitted <strong>the</strong> effects to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> Secretary's^ <strong>of</strong>fice. No money.<br />

Rockefeller <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 815, located at Grays Lake, in Lake county,<br />

was closed on May 22, 1913, by Bro. H. M. Blood, <strong>of</strong> Chicago, who<br />

remitted <strong>the</strong> effects to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> Secretary's <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />

Buncombe <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 797, located at Buncombe, in Johnson county,<br />

was closed on July 28, 1913, by Bro. John L. Thornton, <strong>of</strong> Vienna.<br />

This <strong>Lodge</strong> suffered a loss by fire and all effects were burned, but<br />

draft for $2.87 was remitted by <strong>the</strong> Deputy.<br />

REBEKAH LODGES CLOSED.<br />

The following Rebekah <strong>Lodge</strong>s have been closed during <strong>the</strong> year:<br />

Mt. Pleasant Rebekah <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 276, located at Chicago, in Cook<br />

county, was closed on March 10, 1913, by Sister May C. Keiser, P.P.,<br />

who remitted charter and effects to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> Secretary.<br />

Sunbeam Rebekah <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 389, located at Eberle, in Effingham<br />

county, was closed on July 29, 1913, by Bro. Arthur Mason, <strong>of</strong> Watson,<br />

who remitted effects and draft for $13.57 to <strong>Grand</strong> Secretary.<br />

LOSSES BY FIRE.<br />

Subordinate.<br />

Silurian <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 449, located at Grafton, in Jersey county, was<br />

totally destroyed by fire on Dec. 17, 1912. Total loss. Duplicate<br />

charter issued Dec. 23, 1912.<br />

Browns <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 758, located at Browns, in Edwards county,<br />

was destroyed by fire on Dec. 27, 1912. The records and some regalia<br />

were saved. Duplicate charter issued Dec. 30, 1912.<br />

Stonefort <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 731, located at Stonefort, in Saline county,<br />

was destroyed by fire on Jan. 21, 1913. The loss was total. Duplicate<br />

charter issued Jan. 24, 1913.<br />

Gibson <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 542, located at Gibson City, in Ford county,<br />

was totally destroyed by fire on Feb. 6, 1913. Duplicate charter issued<br />

Feb. 10, 1913.
