Representative W. R. Humphrey rendered valuable and material assistance<br />

in securing legislation permitting our <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> to confine<br />

its election <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficers to <strong>the</strong> duly accredited representatives <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong>, <strong>the</strong>refore, be it<br />

Resolved. That <strong>the</strong> thanks <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Grand</strong> Body be extended to<br />

Past <strong>Grand</strong> Sire Conway and Past <strong>Grand</strong> Representative Humphrey<br />

for <strong>the</strong> services rendered our Jurisdiction.<br />

Referred to Committee on State <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Order.<br />

To <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> State <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>, I. 0. 0. F.:<br />

Your Committee on Finance would respectfully report as<br />

follows regarding resolution <strong>of</strong> George W. Young, <strong>of</strong> No. 392.<br />

Document No. 26:<br />

We beg to report that <strong>the</strong> Finance Committee have examined <strong>the</strong><br />

itemized account <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> Master, <strong>of</strong> money paid to various par-<br />

ties for conducting his schools <strong>of</strong> instruction and <strong>of</strong>ficial visitations,<br />

and find <strong>the</strong> total <strong>of</strong> $1,285.65 properly accounted for. We do not, how-<br />

ever, approve <strong>of</strong> this method <strong>of</strong> drawing money for schools <strong>of</strong> instruc-<br />

tion or <strong>of</strong>ficial visitations, and would suggest that in <strong>the</strong> future vouch-<br />

ers be drawn in favor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> individual members for <strong>the</strong>ir expendi-<br />

tures in participating in <strong>the</strong> schools <strong>of</strong> instruction or making <strong>of</strong>ficial<br />

visitations. Respectfully submitted.<br />

On resolution introduced, Document No. 5, <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> Temple,<br />

<strong>the</strong>re seems to be no question <strong>of</strong> finance in this resolution and it is<br />

entirely a matter for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> to appoint a committee as suggested<br />

by <strong>the</strong> resolution, if in <strong>the</strong>ir judgment it seems best, and your<br />

committee desires to be relieved from fur<strong>the</strong>r consideration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

same.<br />
