AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE II, SECTION 8.<br />

To <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> State <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>, I. 0. O. F.:<br />

When a candidate for membership by initiation has been rejected<br />

notice <strong>the</strong>re<strong>of</strong> shall be sent to all <strong>Lodge</strong>s in <strong>the</strong> same place, and he<br />

can not again be proposed until six months have elapsed.<br />

No <strong>Lodge</strong> shall knowingly receive a proposition for membership<br />

who has been rejected by ano<strong>the</strong>r <strong>Lodge</strong>, without first obtaining <strong>the</strong><br />

consent <strong>of</strong> such o<strong>the</strong>r <strong>Lodge</strong> in writing at a regular meeting <strong>the</strong>re<strong>of</strong>,<br />

and under seal <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong>. Consent <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> will be obtained<br />

by ballot and require a two-thirds vote.<br />

To <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> State <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>, I. 0. 0. F.:<br />

Resolved, That Article VI, Section 10, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> Constitu-<br />

tion be amended by striking out in <strong>the</strong> last line <strong>of</strong> said section <strong>the</strong><br />

words "two dollars per diem" and inserting in lieu <strong>the</strong>re<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> words<br />

"three dollars per diem," said section when amended to read as follows:<br />

Sec. 10. The Committee on Mileage and Per Diem shall report <strong>the</strong><br />

number <strong>of</strong> miles necessarily traveled by <strong>the</strong> shortest travelled route<br />

by each <strong>Grand</strong> Officer and Representative and member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> various<br />

<strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> committees, <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> days' attendance <strong>of</strong> same,<br />

and <strong>the</strong> amount due to each. The committee shall make Its estimate<br />

by allowing five cents mileage one way and three dollars per diem.<br />
