Your Committee on Legislation would respectfully report as<br />

follows with reference to Document Xo. 7, appearing on page 379<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Daily Journal <strong>of</strong> November 18, 1913, <strong>of</strong>fered by Bro<strong>the</strong>rs<br />

F. M. Smith, W. J. Jones and VV. L. Hathaway, and also <strong>the</strong><br />

Document No. 12, appearing on page 381 <strong>of</strong> said Daily Journal,<br />

and <strong>of</strong>fered by P. W. Bussard, <strong>of</strong> No. 124:<br />

The subject matter embraced in <strong>the</strong>se two Documents are sub-<br />

stantially <strong>the</strong> same and refer to <strong>the</strong> amendment <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Constitution<br />

and By-Laws <strong>of</strong> Subordinate <strong>Lodge</strong>s with reference to <strong>the</strong> payment <strong>of</strong><br />

sick and funeral benefits and expenses.<br />

Your committee beg leave to report that <strong>the</strong> subjects mentioned in<br />

said two Documents have been carefully considered by this committee<br />

at <strong>the</strong> present and former sessions <strong>the</strong>re<strong>of</strong>, and we see no substantial<br />

or valid reason why <strong>the</strong>re should be any change in <strong>the</strong> law upon this<br />

subject as it now exists.
