Your Special Committee on Dropped Members would re-<br />

spectfully report as follows<br />

The committee met with <strong>Grand</strong> Master Jennings at <strong>the</strong> close <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> Peoria session <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> and a plan <strong>of</strong> procedure laid<br />

out to be followed during <strong>the</strong> year, which plan <strong>Grand</strong> Master Jennings<br />

very kindly agreed to send out to <strong>the</strong> Subordinate <strong>Lodge</strong>s <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> State,<br />

and <strong>the</strong> result has been reported by him to <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong>. Your<br />

committee has secured .statistics during <strong>the</strong> past two years showing<br />

that Orders paying sick and death benefits, such as <strong>the</strong> Improved<br />

Order <strong>of</strong> Red Men, Knights <strong>of</strong> Pythias, and our Order, have a very<br />

large loss <strong>of</strong> members by reason <strong>of</strong> non-payment <strong>of</strong> dues.<br />

The Great Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> United States <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Improved Order <strong>of</strong><br />

Red Men for <strong>the</strong> year 1913 reports adoption during <strong>the</strong> year 77.102;<br />

suspensions during <strong>the</strong> year, 68,933; net gain 8,169.<br />

The <strong>Grand</strong> Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Improved Order <strong>of</strong> Red Men<br />

for <strong>the</strong> year 1912 report adoptions for <strong>the</strong> year, 3,206; suspensions<br />

during <strong>the</strong> year, 2,702; net gain, 504.<br />

The Supreme <strong>Lodge</strong> Knights <strong>of</strong> Pythias, for <strong>the</strong> year 1912, reports<br />

initiations during 1910-11, 101,099; suspensions during <strong>the</strong> same period,<br />

94,419; net gain, 6,680.<br />

The <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> Knights <strong>of</strong> Pythias, for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> Domain <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Illinois</strong>, for <strong>the</strong> year ending June 30, 1912, reported initiations during<br />

<strong>the</strong> year, 3,932: suspensions during <strong>the</strong> year, 3,744; net gain. 188.<br />

For <strong>the</strong> term ending June 30, 1913, reports initiations during <strong>the</strong><br />

year, 4,698; suspensions during <strong>the</strong> year, 3,874; net gain, 824.<br />

The <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>, I. O. O. F., for <strong>the</strong> past ten years,<br />

commencing with 1903 and ending with 1912, shows <strong>the</strong> following<br />

initiations and suspensions for non-payment <strong>of</strong> dues:<br />
