To <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> State <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>, I. O. O. F.:<br />

Your Committee on Railroad Rates would respectfully re-<br />

port as follows<br />

:<br />

That our committee took up <strong>the</strong> matter <strong>of</strong> rates with <strong>the</strong> Central<br />

and Western Associations.<br />

We were assured by <strong>the</strong>m that <strong>the</strong>y were not making any concessions<br />

this year to any one, outside <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> one for <strong>the</strong> State Fair.<br />

We also interviewed <strong>the</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong> Traction people. They very<br />

kindly made us an open rate <strong>of</strong> one and one-half fare over <strong>the</strong>ir lines.<br />

We accepted <strong>of</strong> this <strong>of</strong>fer, and through <strong>the</strong> courtesy <strong>of</strong> <strong>Grand</strong><br />

Secretary John H. Sikes. advised all <strong>Lodge</strong>s and Encampments <strong>of</strong> this<br />

rate.<br />
