JS about 50 by 80 and 22 feet from <strong>the</strong> floor to <strong>the</strong> ceiling. The top floor<br />

has been rented for a term <strong>of</strong> years, and <strong>the</strong> auditorium has been<br />

rented for a term <strong>of</strong> years for one night a week. I understand that<br />

<strong>the</strong>y secure $1,200 a year for <strong>the</strong> auditorium for <strong>the</strong> one night a week.<br />

Preceding <strong>the</strong> dedication <strong>the</strong>re was a magnificent parade. It was<br />

impossible for more than one-half <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> people to witness <strong>the</strong> dedicatory<br />

exercises. The exercises closed Wednesday night, when <strong>the</strong><br />

four degrees were conferred upon a class <strong>of</strong> 80 candidates.<br />

This temple, toge<strong>the</strong>r with its furnishings, cost approximately<br />

$50,000. The dedication <strong>of</strong> this temple has been <strong>the</strong> means <strong>of</strong> arousing a<br />

splendid monuments to Odd Fellowship in our state.<br />

I hereby express to you my sincerest thanks for <strong>the</strong> honor bestowed<br />

upon me in assisting in <strong>the</strong> work <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dedication <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se two<br />

splendid monuments to Odd Fellowship in our State.<br />

Dear Bro<strong>the</strong>r Jennings:—Your special committee appointed by you<br />

under resolutions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> Session, 1912, to prepare resolu-<br />

tions and have <strong>the</strong> same engrossed and framed, would respectfully<br />

report that <strong>the</strong>y prepared said resolutions and had resolutions engrossed<br />

and framed.<br />

Your committee would fur<strong>the</strong>r report that said committee presented<br />

resolution to I Will <strong>Lodge</strong> No. 141, <strong>of</strong> Chicago, on Monday<br />

evening, September 29, 1913. The resolution was presented to Kent<br />

<strong>Lodge</strong> No. 689, <strong>of</strong> Rockford, on Wednesday evening, October 22, 1913.<br />

Both <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se meetings were largely attended and <strong>the</strong>se resolutions<br />

were highly appreciated by both lodges.<br />
