<strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong> may determine, and to recall such charters by a majority<br />

<strong>of</strong> two-thirds <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> votes cast. Bat no more than one <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong><br />

and one <strong>Grand</strong> Encampment shall be chartered in any state, province,<br />

district or territory.<br />

7. To organize and enact laws for <strong>the</strong> government <strong>of</strong> such o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

branches or departments <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Order as may be deemed necessary<br />

or advisable and to abolish <strong>the</strong> same by a majority <strong>of</strong> two-thirds <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> votes cast.<br />

8. To enact all laws <strong>of</strong> general application to <strong>the</strong> Order.<br />

9. To construe its own laws, rules and regulations, to declare<br />

and interpret <strong>the</strong> customs, usages and practices <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Order and to<br />

determine <strong>the</strong> legality <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> laws, ordinances and practices <strong>of</strong> <strong>Grand</strong><br />

and Subordinate Bodies.<br />

ARTICLE II.<br />

Members.<br />

Section 1. Who Are Members <strong>of</strong> Sovereign <strong>Lodge</strong>—Qualifications.—This<br />

Sovereign <strong>Lodge</strong> shall be composed <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> following<br />

members, to-wit: A <strong>Grand</strong> Sire, Deputy <strong>Grand</strong> Sire, <strong>Grand</strong> Secretary,<br />

<strong>Grand</strong> Treasurer, <strong>Grand</strong> Chaplain, <strong>Grand</strong> Marshal, <strong>Grand</strong> Guardian,<br />

<strong>Grand</strong> Messenger, Assistant <strong>Grand</strong> Secretary, and <strong>Grand</strong> Representative<br />

from <strong>the</strong> several <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Lodge</strong>s and <strong>Grand</strong> Encampments working<br />

under legal unreclaimed charters, granted by this Sovereign <strong>Lodge</strong>,<br />

toge<strong>the</strong>r with all Past <strong>Grand</strong> Sires. Each member shall be a Past<br />

<strong>Grand</strong> in good standing and a member <strong>of</strong> a Subordinate <strong>Lodge</strong> and a<br />

Rebekah <strong>Lodge</strong> in good standing, and must have received <strong>the</strong> Royal<br />

Purple degree and be a member in good standing <strong>of</strong> an Encampment<br />

in good standing.<br />

ARTICLE III.<br />

Officers.<br />

Section 1. Officers.—The elective <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> this Sovereign <strong>Lodge</strong><br />

shall be <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> Sire, Deputy <strong>Grand</strong> Sire, <strong>Grand</strong> Secretary and<br />

<strong>Grand</strong> Treasurer, and <strong>the</strong> appointive <strong>of</strong>ficers shall be <strong>the</strong> <strong>Grand</strong> Chap-<br />

lain, <strong>Grand</strong> Marshal, <strong>Grand</strong> Guardian, <strong>Grand</strong> Messenger and Assistant<br />

<strong>Grand</strong> Secretary.<br />

Sec. 2. Elective Officers, When and How Elected and Installed.<br />

The elective <strong>of</strong>ficers shall be chosen by <strong>the</strong> members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Sovereign<br />

<strong>Lodge</strong>, who are eligible to vote, by ballot at <strong>the</strong> stated communications<br />

held in each even numbered year and shall be installed into <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

respective <strong>of</strong>fices before <strong>the</strong> adjournment <strong>of</strong> said communications.<br />

A majority <strong>of</strong> all <strong>the</strong> votes cast shall be necessary to elect. The<br />

nomination and election shall take place on <strong>the</strong> second day <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
