Jules Holland where we were at an award ceremony, and I have a little story about that, that I
can’t repeat here as well. So if anybody wants to ask some questions about any of this stuff
then feel free. [paus] Ok, no questions [moderatorn kommenterar åter tiden] Okay, so I guess
that’s it, they want to get everybody out to get things set up for the next
presentation….[applåder]
[Fråga från puliken, “Do you still write music?]. You know, I think that…how many of
you people in this room are musicians? Okay, you’re the lucky ones. Because, music is just
this, it’s like a journey through life, where you really start off learning about music and doing
things, and you go to bed with dreams of music, doing things. You really have no idea of
where it’s gonna lead to, of what you’ve gonna do with it. It stays in your blood, becomes part
of your genetic make-up, or something, it stays in your blood and never ever goes. I
started…when I was like five years old I wrote a tune on the piano, and then my parents
though “What the hell’s he doing?” I didn’t know anything. I was just five years old. I didn’t
know anything about music and I wrote a little tune. They thought, “Well, better get him a
piano.” I went to university as well, to do electronics, and I hated it. I spent all my time in the
music department, playing the piano! “What the hell am I doing here?” So I left there, and
went into a band straight away and started playing music. So, the answer to your question,
what I’m saying is, yes, this thing stays in your blood all you life. And I’ve started playing
music again…I wrote an awful lot if music between 1980, I wrote before all the C 64-stuff, I
wrote a lot of music before then, so I’ve always been composing a lot of music, but between
1980 and round about 1995 I just wrote an absolute bloody ton. And I just became absolutely
fried. I got completely bent out on writing music. And since then I haven’t actively sat down
and created projects for myself, but that doesn’t mean to say that I won’t do it again, because,
like I said, I think this thing stays in your blood, becomes part of you. You get into different
kind of things, you go in different directions, you morph into this direction, so, I think, that at
some stage I will probably start writing again. [-49:27] Yeah. Okay then. [nya applåder]
