XI. ~~~~~~~~ sftea Previous C~ltavkti~nt. If the offender, before committing<br />

the offence, had been convicted upon indictment of any of the<br />

indictable offences defined in this Division of this Part of this <strong>Code</strong>, or<br />

had been twice previously summarily convicted of an offence punishable<br />

on summary conviction under this Division of this Part of this <strong>Code</strong>,<br />

whether each of the convictions was in respect of an offence of the same<br />

character or not, he is liable to imprisonment with hard labour for seven<br />

years.<br />

XIP. ~~~~l~~~ of an aircraft. If the thing stolen is an aircraft the<br />

offender is liable to imprisonment with hard labour for fourteen years.<br />

CHAPTER XXXVII-OFFENCES ANALOGOUS TO STEALING<br />

399. an^ egisters. Any person who, with intent to defraud,<br />

conceals or takes from its place of deposit any register which is authorised<br />

or required by law to be kept for authenticating or recording the title to<br />

any property, or for recording births, baptisms, marriages, deaths, or<br />

burials, or a copy of any part of any such register which is required by<br />

law to be sent to any public officer, is guilty of a crime, and is liable to<br />

imprisonment with hard labour for fourteen years.<br />

Is. Any person who, with intent to defraud, conceals<br />

any testamentary instrument, whether the testator is living or dead, is<br />

guilty of a crime, and is liable to imprisonment with hard labour for<br />

fourteen years.<br />

401. Cmc Any person who, with intent to defraud, conceals<br />
