NO. 130.-RESISTING OFFICERS ENGAGED IN PREVENTING<br />

SMUGGLING.<br />

Section 197.<br />

Assaulted [or Obstructed or Resisted] with violence one E.F., an officer of<br />

Customs [or being a person duly employed for the prevention of smuggling], while<br />

he was engaged in the execution of his duty in the prevention of smuggling [or<br />

one G.H., who was then acting in aid of one E.F. (&e. as abose)].<br />

NO. 131.-RESISTING CUSTOMS OFFICERS.<br />

Section 198.<br />

(1.) Assaulted [or Obstructed] one E.F., an officer of Customs [or being a<br />

person duly employed for the prevention of smuggling], while he was engaged in the<br />

execution of his duty under the laws relating to the Customs [or while he was<br />

engaged in the seizure of certain goods claimed to be liable to forfeiture under<br />

the laws relating to the Customs [or Assaulted (or Obstructed) one G.B., who was<br />

then acting in aid of one E.F., (&e. as above)].<br />

(2.) Rescued [or Attempted to rescue] certain goods [namely, opium] which<br />

had then lately been seized as liable to forfeiture under the laws relating to the<br />

Customs.<br />

(3.) Certain goods [namely, ten casks of wine,] were seized as liable to for-<br />

feiture under the laws relating to the Customs: And that before [or at the time of<br />

or after] the said seizure A.B. stove [or broke or destroyed or attempted to stave<br />

(or break or destroy)] the said goods, with intent thereby then to prevent the<br />

seizure [or securing] thereof.<br />

NO. 132.--RESISTING PUBLIC OFFICERS.<br />

Section 199.<br />

(1.) Obstructed [or Resisted] one E.F., a public offieer, while he was engaged<br />

in the [attempted] discharge of the duties of his office as an inspector of mines<br />

under “<strong>The</strong> Mining <strong>Act</strong> of 1898” (or as the case may be).<br />

(2.) Obstructed [or Resisted] one E.F., being the mining manager of the O.P.<br />

mine, while he was engaged in the (attempted) discharge of the duty of examining<br />

the machinery used in the working of the said mine, which duty was imposed upon<br />

him as such mining manager by I‘ <strong>The</strong> Mining <strong>Act</strong> of 1898 (or as the case may be).<br />

NO. 133.-REFUSAL BY PUBLIC OFFICER TO PERFORM DUTY.<br />

Section 200.<br />

Was employed ‘in the Public Service of <strong>Queensland</strong> [or as an officer of the<br />

Supreme Court of QueensIand (or as the case may be)], and thereupon it became<br />

and was his duty by virtue of such employment to (state the duty): Yet the said<br />

A.B. perversely and without lawful excuse omitted [or refused] so to do.<br />

KO, 134.--NEGI,ECT OF OFFICERS TO SUPPRESS RIOT.<br />

Section 201.<br />

Being sheriff [or under sheriff] of <strong>Queensland</strong> [or a justice of the peace (or as<br />

the case muv be)], and having notice that there was a riot in his neighbourhood,<br />

omitted without reasonable excuse to do his duty in suppressing such riot.<br />

NO. 135.-N%GLECT TO AID IN SUPPRESSING RIOT.<br />

Section 202.<br />

Baving had reasonable notice that he was required to assist P.P., sheriff of<br />

<strong>Queensland</strong> [or S.T. a justice of the peace (or as the case may be)], in suppressing<br />

a riot, omitted without reasonable excuse to give such assistance.<br />

NO. 136.--NEGLECT TO AID IN ARRESTING OFFENDERS.<br />

Section 203.<br />

Having had reasonable notice that he was required to assist P.P., sherid of<br />

<strong>Queensland</strong> [or’S.T. a.police oficer (or us the case nauy be)], in arresting one M.N.<br />

[or a person to the said Attorney-General (or S.J.K.) unknown] [or in preserving<br />

the peace], omitted without reasonable excuse to give such assistame.<br />
