abbery. Any person who commits the crime of
robbery is liable to imprisonment with hard labour for fourteen years.
If the offender is armed with any dangerous or offensive weapon or
~strument, or is in company with one or more other person or persons,
or if, at or immediately before or immediately after the time of the
robbery, he wounds or uses any other personal violence to any person, he
is liable to impriso~ent with hard labour for life, with or without solitary
confmement .

Any person who assaults any person with intent to steal an~hing, and,
at or immediately before or i~ediately after the time of the assault, uses
or threatens to use actual violence to any person or property in order to
obtain the thing intended to be stolen, 01: to prevent or overcome resistance
to its being stolen, is guilty of a crime, and is liable to imprisonment
with hard labour for seven years.
If the offender is armed with any dangerous or offensive weapon or
instrument, or is in company with one or more other person or persons,
he is liable to imprisonment with hard labour for fourteen years, with or
without solitary confinement.
If the oEender is armed with any kind of loaded arms, and at or
immediately before or immediately after the time of the assault he
wounds any person by discharging the Ioaded arms, he is liable to
impriso~ent with hard labour for life, with or without solitary con-
finement.
o Steal. Any person who assaults any person
with intent to steal anything is guilty of a crime, and is liable to
imprisonment with hard labour for three years.

who, with intent to steal anything, demands it from any person with
threats of any injury or detriment of any kind to be caused to him, either
by the offender or by any other person, if the demand is not complied
with, is guilty of a crime, and is liable to imprisonment with hard Blabour
for three years.

(1) Knowing the contents of the writing, causes any person to
receive any writing demanding any property or benefit or
the performance of services from or that any property or
benefit or the performance of serviees be procured to be
done or omitted to be done by any person without reasonable
or probable causc, and containing threats of any injury or
det~ment of any kind to be caused to any person, either by
the offender or any other person, if the demand is not complied
with; or
(2) Orally demands any property or benefit or the perform
of services from or that any property or benefit or the
formance of services be procured to be done or omitted to be
done by any person without reasonable or probable cause,
