NO. 12.-INTERFEEENCE WITH THE LEGISLATURE.<br />

Section 55.<br />

(1.) Advisedly and by force [or fraud] interfered [or attempted to interfere]<br />

with the frde exercise by the Legislative Council [or Legislative Assembly] of<br />

Queendmd of their authority.<br />

(2.) Advisedly and by force Lor fraud] interfered [or attempted to interfere]<br />

with the free exercise by one E.F., then being a member of the Legislative Council<br />

[or Legislative Assembly] of <strong>Queensland</strong>, of his duties [or authority] as such<br />

member [or as a member of a Committee of thebsaid Legislative Council (or<br />

Legislative Assembly)] [or as a member of a Joint Committee of the Legislative<br />

Council and Legislative Assembly of the said Colony].<br />

NO. 13.-DISTURBING TEE LEGISLATURE.<br />

Section 56.<br />

(1.) Adviiiedly disturbed the T~egislative Coucil [or Legislative Assembly] of<br />

<strong>Queensland</strong> while the said Council [or Assembly] was in session.<br />

(2.) Advisedly, and in the immediate view and presence of the Legislative<br />

Council [or Legislative Assembly] of <strong>Queensland</strong>, while the said Council [or<br />

Assembly] was in session, conducted himself in a violent and disorderly manner,<br />

tending [or as the case may be, stating the act alleged, in such a manner as to<br />

tend] to interrupt the proceedings [or to impair the respect due to the authority]<br />

of the said Council [or Assembly].<br />

Section 57.<br />

Attended before [a Committee of] the Legislative Council [or Legislative<br />

Assembly] of <strong>Queensland</strong> [or a Joint Committee of the Legislative Council and<br />

Legislative Asiqembly of <strong>Queensland</strong>], and was then examined touching a matter<br />

then in course of inquiry before the said Legislative Council [or Legislative<br />

Assembly or Cornmitteel and then and there, in answer to a lawful and relevant<br />

question pct to him in the course of such examination, knowingly made a false<br />

statement to the effect that (state substance of false answer).<br />

Section 58.<br />

(1.) Having been duly summoned to attend as a witneds [or to produce a<br />

certain book (or as the case may be) then in his possession] before the Legislative<br />

Council [or Legislative Assembly] of <strong>Queensland</strong> cor before a Committee of the<br />

Legislative Council (or Legislative Assembly) of <strong>Queensland</strong> (or before a Joint<br />

Committee of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of <strong>Queensland</strong>)<br />

authorised to summon witnesses (or to call for the production of the book (or as<br />

the case may be) aforesaid, and which book (or as the case may be) was relevant<br />

and proper to be then produced)], refused [or neglected] without lawful excuse<br />

to attend pursuant to the summons [or to produce the book (or as the case may<br />

be) aforesaid which he mas so summoned to produce].<br />

(2.) Being present before the Legislative Council [or Legislative Assembly]<br />

of <strong>Queensland</strong> [or before a Committee of the Legislative Council (or Legislative<br />

Assembly) of <strong>Queensland</strong> (or before a Joint Committee of the Legislative Council<br />

and Legislative Assembly of <strong>Queensland</strong>) authorised to summon witnesses], refused<br />

to answer a lawful relevant question then put to him by authority of the said<br />

Legislative Council [ or Legislative Assembly or Committee].<br />
