(3) Assaults, or, upon or under the pretence of executing any
civil process, arrests, any minister of religion who is engaged
in, or is, to the knowledge of the offender, about to engage in,
any of the offices or duties aforesaid, or who is, to the
knowledge of the offender, going to perform the same or
returning from the performance thereof;
is guilty of a misdemeanour, and is liable to im~risonment with’hard
labour for two years.
2 OBES . Any person who wilfully and without
lawful justification or excuse, the proof of whicb lies on him, disquiets
or disturbs any meeting of persons lawfully assembled for religious
worship, or assaults any person lawfully offfciating at any such meeting, or
any of the persons there assembled, is guilty of an offence, and is liable
on summa~y conv~ction to imprisonment for two months, or to a fine of
ten dollars.

ces. Asly person who-
(1) Has carnal knowledge of any person against the order of
nature; or
as carnal knowledge of an animal; or
(3) Permits a inale person to have carnal knowledge of him or
her against the order of nature;
is guilty sf a crime, and is liable to in~~r~son~~nt with hard labour for
fourteen years.
.A ral ces. Any person who attempts
to co~mamit any of the crimes defined in the last preceding section is guilty
of a crime, and is liable to imprisonment with hard labour for seven
years.
The offender cannot be arrested without warrant.
Any person who
u~law€L~ll~ and indecently deals with a boy under the age of seventeen
years is guilty of a crime, and is liable to imprisonment with hard labour
for five years.
If the boy is under the age of fourteen years, he is liable to imprisonment
with hard labour far seven years.
The term “deal with’, includes doing any act which, if done without
consent, would constitute an assault as hereinafter defined.

es. Any male person who, whether
in public or private, commits any act of gross indecency with another
male person, or procures another male person to commit any act of gross
indecency with him, or attempts to procure the commission of any such
act by any male person with himself or with another male person, whether
in public or private, is guilty of a misdemeanour, and is liable to imprison-
ment with hard labour for three years.
The offender may be arrested without warrant.
