purpose of denoting the quality thereof [or of denoting that the same had been<br />

examined (or approved) by (or under the authority of) an inspector appointed by<br />

the Government, of <strong>Queensland</strong> (or as the case my be) in that behalf], other<br />

butter (or #e.) which had not been so examined [or approved].<br />

NO. 338.-INTIMIDATION OF WORKMEN AND EMPLOYERS.<br />

Section 534.<br />

(1.) By violence to the person [or property] of one E.F. [or By threats or By<br />

intimidation or By besetting the house (or place of work) of one E.F. or By<br />

following one E.F. in a disorderly manner in a public highway or By molesting<br />

(or obstructing) one E.F. by force in the pursuit of his lawful vocation]<br />

(a) compelled [or attempted to compel] the said E.F. [or one G.E.], being a<br />

person employed in the manufacture of boots [or in the trade (or business or<br />

occupation) of a baker (or as the case may be)], to depart from his employment<br />

lor to return his work before it was finished] ;<br />

or (b) prevented the said E.F. [or one G.H.], who was not then employed,<br />

from accepting employment from one K.L.<br />

(2.) Used violence to the person [or property] of one E.F. [or Used threats<br />

(or intimidation) to one E,F. or Molested (or Obstructed) one E.F. by force]<br />

(e) for the purpose of inducing the said E.F. [or one G.H.] to belong to a<br />

club [or aasociatiorz] called (5.0. [or to contribute to a common fund intended to be<br />

raised for the purpose of (state the prpose shortly) or to pay a fine (or penalty)<br />

which purported to have been imposed upon him by one M.N. (and others)] ;<br />

or (d) on account of his Cor on account of one G.H.] not belonging to a club<br />

[or association] called &e. COT not having contributed (or having refused to<br />

contribute) to a common fund (&c. as in (c))];<br />

or (e) on account of his [or on account of one G.H.] not having complied [or<br />

refusing to comply] with certain rules [or orders or resolutions or regulations] made<br />

[or pretended to be made] by one M.N. [and others] [or by a club (or association)<br />

called &c.] in order to obtain an advance of wages in [or to reduce the rate of<br />

wages in or to lessen (or alter) the hours of working in or to decrease. (or alter)<br />

the quantity of work done in or to regulate the mode of carrying on or to regulate<br />

the management of] the manufacture of boots [or the trade (or business) of bakers<br />

(or as the case may be)].<br />

(3.) By violence to the person [or property] of one E.F. [or By threats OT By<br />

intimidation or By molesting (or obstructing) one E.F.] compelled [or endeavoured<br />

to compel] the said E.F. [or one G.H.], being a person carrying on the manu-<br />

facture of boots [or the trade (or business) of a baker (or as the case may be)] to<br />

make an alteration in his mode of carrying on his said manufacture (or &e.) [or to<br />

limit the number of his apprentices (or the number (or description) of his<br />

journeymen (or workmen or servants)) 1.<br />
