was so armed with intent to break (or enter) a dwelling-house, and to commit an<br />

indictable offence therein.<br />

(b.) Was found armed in the night-time with [&c. as aboue]. And that the<br />

said A.B. was so armed with intent to break [or enter] a building, and to commit<br />

an indictable offence therein.<br />

(c.) Was found having in his possession in the night-time without lawful<br />

excuse an instrument of housebreaking, namely, a picklock (or as the case may be).<br />

(a.) Was found having in his possession in the daytime an instrument of house-<br />

breaking, namely &.: And that the said A.B. had the same in his possession with<br />

intent to commit an indictable offence.<br />

(e.) Was found having his face masked [or blackened] [or was found disguised<br />

by a false beard (or as the case may be)]: And that the said A.B. had his face<br />

so masked [or blackened] [or was so disguised] with intent to commit an indictable<br />

oflt'ence.<br />

(f.) Was found in a' warehouse (or as the case may be), the property of<br />

one E.F., in the night-time: And that the said A.B. was in the said building with<br />

intent to commit an indictable ogence therein.<br />

[And that the said A.B. had previously, namely, on #c., at &e., been convicted<br />

(set out conviction as in an indictment) 3.<br />

V.-OBTAINING PROPERTY BY FALSE PRETENCES : CHEATING<br />

Xo. 255.-OBTAINING GOODS BY FALSE PRETENCES.<br />

Section 427.<br />

By falsely pretending to one E.F. that (state substances of false pretence)<br />

obtained from the said E.F. [.r one G.H.] [or induced the said E.F. [or one<br />

G.N.] to deliver to him (or to one M.N.)] a sum of money, namely $10 (or as the<br />

case may be), with intent thereby then to defraud.<br />

Section 428.<br />

By falsely pretending (&c., as in preceding Form), and with intent to defraud,<br />

induced the said E.F. [or one G.N.] to execute [or make or accept or indorse or<br />

alter or destroy] a valuable security [or part of a valuable security], namely, a<br />

promissory note for $200 [or a bond or as the case nzay be] [or to write (or impress)<br />

or akfix his name (or seal) (or the name) (or seal) of one K.L. or the name of x<br />

firm, namely, K.L. and Company (or as the case may be) or to impress (or affix)<br />

the seal of the X.Y. Company, Limited (or us the case may be) upon (or to) :i<br />

paper (or parchment) in order that it might afterwards be made (or converted)<br />

Section 429.<br />

By means of a fraudulent trick [or device]<br />

(a) obtained from one E.F. $10 (or as the case may be);<br />

or (6) induced one E.F. to deliver to him [or to one M.N.] a watch (or as the<br />

case may be) ;<br />

or (c) induced one E.F. to pay (or) deliver) to him Cor to one M.N.] $10 [or tell<br />

pounds of tea (or as the case .may be)], being a greater sum of money [or a greater<br />
