To take responsibility for his/her own learning, to get involved and
participate actively;
A supportive, informal learning climate where he/she is accepted
and feels safe to take risks;
To have a choice between alternatives, therefore the learning
process should be flexible, yet organised and logical;
Recognition for his/her past experience. The experience should be
used as another resource;
To relate the learning content to day-to-day
problems. To see the relevance of what has
to be learnt;
