The area does not have large landlords like Trikkulam. At the same time, it should be
noted that 70.33% of the landholders held 18.94% of the land, and 9.5% of the
landholders held 53.55% of the lands. Obviously concentration of land holdings existed
in Parappanangadi also. The information on population shows that only 190 persons are
shown as landholders, which might have included dependents also. Hence, a few families
