organizational chart, summarized at the division level, is provided below. Actual personnel budgeted in<br />

Primary Functions<br />

• Civil plan review, permitting, assurance, acceptance and inspections for infrastructure to be<br />

added to city asset base built by developers<br />

• <strong>City</strong> Fleet Maintenance and Operations including all motorized equipment<br />

• <strong>City</strong> Facilities Maintenance and Operations related to HVAC, electrical, general maintenance and<br />

custodial services<br />

• Civil Infrastructure and capital projects for city including city funded and other agency funded<br />

projects<br />

• Administration <strong>of</strong> the city transit services and represent city on regional boards and commissions<br />

• Administration <strong>of</strong> city’s MS4 permit addressing storm water pollution prevention program<br />

• Regional representation involving storm water management to monitor changes and updates in<br />

federal, state, and county regulations<br />

Divisions<br />

Engineering Services - The Engineering Development Services Division provides engineering<br />

development review, civil engineering plan review, permit issuance, and<br />

construction inspection within the public right <strong>of</strong> way.<br />

Facilities Management - The Facilities Management Division is comprised <strong>of</strong> custodians and building<br />

maintenance personnel and is tasked with maintaining city buildings and<br />

facilities as well as project management <strong>of</strong> new construction.<br />

Vehicle Maintenance - The Vehicle Maintenance Division maintains and repairs the city’s fleet <strong>of</strong><br />

vehicles and equipment.<br />

Storm Water - The storm water program component <strong>of</strong> the Environmental Division is<br />

responsible for compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act (CWA), the<br />

Arizona Pollution Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES), Water Quality<br />

Permits, and enforcement <strong>of</strong> regulations regarding illegal discharges to the<br />

MS4.<br />
