Because of the small numbers attached to several<br />

denominations, I limit my consideration to the four most<br />

frequently named.<br />

(For the sake of simplicity, I refer, in this<br />

analysis, to the colleges and preaching lecturers as<br />

though they were part of the denominations listed in<br />

table 62. When I refer to a lecturer by a particular<br />

denominational name, we cannot assume his own, or even<br />

his college's, denominational allegiance, but only<br />

associate the lecturer and college with a denomination in<br />

which his {its) students will serve.)<br />

Within these denominational groups, there exists<br />

theological pluralism. The following table lists the<br />

four denominations to be considered and the variety of<br />

theologians with which each group's lecturers chose to<br />

identify.<br />
