Other themes in the teaching of preaching break up<br />

this pattern of agreement within the established/free<br />

church pairs. Note the contrasting conjunction of<br />

denominational groups on the question of the priority<br />

lecturers give to providing, for their students, a<br />

theological content for preaching.<br />

7 Evangelical lecturers give a<br />

lower priority to teaching a theological content than<br />

predicted, while Baptist and Presbyterian lecturers give<br />

a higher priority than theologically expected.<br />

On two other theologically related questions,<br />

Baptist lecturers join with Episcopal and Evangelical<br />

lecturers on the lower end of the spectrum.
