Introduction to literature searching, critical reading,<br />

CHEM 428, 429. Chemical Research 1 credit<br />

<strong>St</strong>udy of a research problem in current chemistry.<br />

One hour conference and two three-hour laboratory<br />

sessions per week. Prerequisite: Instructor<br />

CHEM 440. Chemistry Internship 1–2 credits<br />

<strong>St</strong>udents work part time in the laboratories of<br />

local industrial, clinical or government employers,<br />

gaining practical experiences in the application<br />

transfer credits of courses in any one of the<br />

communication sequences (with the exception of<br />

COMM 390, 391, 399) applied toward a major<br />

in mass communications, provided the courses<br />

are equivalent in content to those taught at SAU.<br />
