03 30 00 CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE
1.00 GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. This Section specifies cast-in place concrete, including formwork, reinforcement, concrete
materials, mix design, placement procedures, curing and finishes.
1.02 DEFINITIONS
A. Cementitious Materials: Portland cement alone or as specifically allowed in combination with
one or more of blended hydraulic cement and fly ash.
1.03 SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For each type of manufactured material and product indicated.
1. Mix design: For each concrete mix, complete the form “Concrete Mix Design” and one of
the following forms: “Documentation of Average Strength – Field Strength Test Record”
or “Documentation of Average Strength – Trial Mixtures”.
a. Submit mix design supporting documentation and calculations as required.
B. Steel Reinforcement Shop Drawings for record purposes only: Details of fabrication, bending,
and placement, prepared according to ACI 315, "Details and Detailing of Concrete Reinforcement."
Include material, grade, bar schedules, stirrup spacing, bent bar diagrams, arrangement,
and supports of concrete reinforcement. Include special reinforcement required
for openings through concrete structures.
C. Material Certificates: Signed by manufacturers certifying that each of the following items
complies with requirements:
1. Cementitious materials and aggregates.
2. Form materials and form-release agents.
3. Steel reinforcement and reinforcement accessories.
4. Admixtures.
5. Waterstops.
6. Curing materials.
7. Bonding agents.
8. Adhesives.
9. Vapor retarders.
10. Epoxy joint filler.
11. Joint-filler strips.
12. Repair materials.
1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Installer Qualifications: An experienced installer who has completed concrete Work similar in
material, design, and extent to that indicated for this Project and whose work has resulted in
construction with a record of successful in-service performance.
