Multi-ParameterWater Quality <strong>TROLL</strong> ®22 TroubleshootingTroubleshooting ConnectionsProblem: Win-Situ or Pocket-Situ cannot “find” (connect to) the MP<strong>TROLL</strong> <strong>9500</strong>. Error 6146 may be displayed.Probable Cause: Wrong COM port selected, loose cable connections,device is taking a measurement as part of a test, batteriesare low, elastomer is wornSuggested Remedy: Check the following:• all cable connections are tight• the back end is securely attached to the instrument• the correct COM port is selected• the internal battery has voltage remaining; attach externalpower• If a test is running, try connecting again—several times ifnecessary to “sneak” in between test data points.Q:A:The MP <strong>TROLL</strong> <strong>9500</strong> rolled out of the back of my truckand hit the ground pretty hard. It still talks. Is it OK touse?The instrument is pretty rugged, and can survive a fewdrops and rolls. We hope the restrictor was on to protectthe sensors! First, check the joint between the body and therestrictor. It should appear smooth and tight to preserve theintegrity of the water seal. Next, remove the restrictor andinsure the pressure sensor is snug against the sensor block.Push it firmly into the sensor block if you see a gap.
