Section 4: Control SoftwareLogging Data (Adding a Test)Logging data with the MP <strong>TROLL</strong> <strong>9500</strong> is called “running a test.” Totell the instrument how to run the test—which parameters to measure,how often, when to start, etc.—you “add” a test to the device.TIP: For more on logging, extracting, viewing, and deletingdata, refer to Section 6.1. With the MP <strong>TROLL</strong> <strong>9500</strong> connected to a host PC and selected inthe Navigation tree, click or tap Tests.2. Click or tap Add....Taking “<strong>Manual</strong>” ReadingsThe MP <strong>TROLL</strong> <strong>9500</strong> collects data in “tests” but you can get a quick“manual” reading from any device apart from a test, even while a testis running.1. With the MP <strong>TROLL</strong> <strong>9500</strong> connected to a host PC and selected inthe Navigation tree, click or tap Parameters.2. In the Information pane, select one or more parameters to read. Toselect multiple parameters, hold the Control key while selecting.(To display the CTRL key on a PDA, tap the keyboard symbol inthe Command bar.)12123The Test Wizard starts.
