Tollwood Sommerfestival
1988 fand Tollwood erstmals statt. Die Idee war, für
die Münchner Kleinkunstszene ein adäquates Forum
zu schaffen. Das Zeitspektakel im Olympiapark bietet
heute in den Monaten Juni und Juli eine aufregende Mischung
internationaler Musiker und Theatergruppen,
Performances und Live-Musik. Kunst und Kultur sowie
Kulinarisches aus aller Welt machen den Tollwood-
Besuch zu einem besonderen Erlebnis.

who summed up the feeling for and of Munich in a single
sentence: “Vom Ernst des Lebens halb verschont,
ist der schon, der in München wohnt!” which translates
roughly as “If you live in Munich, life has only half
as many troubles”.
Tollwood summer festival
Tollwood was held for the first time in 1988. The idea
was to provide a forum for Munich’s street artists and
the like. Today, this spectacle held in the Olympic Park
in June and July offers an exciting mix of international
music and theatre, performances and live concerts.
Art, culture and foods from all around the world make
a visit to Tollwood a very special experience.
