der Pfalz. König Max II. ließ den
Bau, fertiggestellt im Jahr 1874,
von Architekt Friedrich Bürklein
entwerfen
Stately with its half-moon structure,
the Maximilianeum sits
atop the high bank of the Isar at
the end of Maximilanstraße. It
is the seat of the Bavarian state
parliament and of the Maximilianeum
foundation for gifted
students from Bavaria and the
Rhineland-Palatinate. King Max
II had this building designed by
Friedrich Bürklein, and construction
on it was completed in 1874
