München - Dynamischer Wirtschaftsstandort und Kulturraum im Herzen Europas

zu einem neuen Verständnis von Stadtbaukultur
kommen.
Die Diskussion darüber muss so transparent wie möglich
geführt werden. Nur so kann eine Kultur des Dialoges
gefunden werden, die der Baukultur die Hand
reicht. Qualität, gestalterische und ästhetische zumal,
kann kein demokratisches Abstimmungsergebnis
sein. Sehr wohl aber bestimmt die Qualität der Kommunikation
in einer Stadt die Qualität ihrer getroffenen
Entscheidungen und beeinflusst deren Akzeptanz und
Integrationsfähigkeit.
Vor diesem Gedanken möchte ich die folgenden Projekte
vorstellen, die aktuell in München gebaut werden
und obwohl zum Teil heftig diskutiert, gerade damit
einen wichtigen Impuls zur Verankerung der Baukultur
als gesamtgesellschaftliches Interesse und Anliegen
in der Öffentlichkeit geben.

currently under construction in Munich, which,

them, are using this to provide an important
impulse for consolidating the building culture as an interest
of the community as a whole and a public issue.
The Siemens group headquarter –
Head office and town square
The group headquarter is in a prominent place in the
city’s old town and is under listed protection as a historic
ensemble. The call for proposals held jointly by
the city of Munich and Siemens had the duty of meeting
the requirements of historic monument protection
and those of a modern company head office. The
