München boomt. Von 2006 bis 2012 verzeichnete
die Stadt ein Bevölkerungswachstum von 6,6
Prozent – so viel wie kaum eine andere deutsche
Stadt. Erstmals in der Stadtgeschichte wurde damit
die Marke von 1,4 Millionen Einwohnerinnen
und Einwohnern überschritten. Auch 2012 setzte
sich der Trend ungemindert fort. Bis 2030 wird
die Bevölkerungszahl der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt
nach aktuellen Prognosen um weitere
rund 15 Prozent auf dann 1,65 Millionen ansteigen.
Die wirtschaftlichen Perspektiven, der robuste
Arbeitsmarkt und die hohe Lebensqualität ziehen
Jahr für Jahr Neubürger aus dem In- und Ausland
nach München. Die breite und ausgewogene
Wirtschafts- und Branchenstruktur, hochkarätige
Forschungseinrichtungen und die exzellente Infrastruktur
sichern Münchens Rang unter den führenden
Wirtschaftsmetropolen Europas. Nationale
und internationale Vergleichsstudien bestätigen
die wirtschaftliche Ausnahmestellung Münchens.
Insgesamt 90 sozioökonomische Indikatoren in 50
deutschen Großstädten hat die Initiative Neue Soziale
Marktwirtschaft (INSM) für ihr „Städteranking” 2012
verglichen. Das Ergebnis: München ist und bleibt die
wirtschaftlich erfolgreichste deutsche Großstadt mit
den besten ökonomischen Rahmenbedingungen. Im
jährlich erscheinenden „European Regional Economic
Growth Index” (E-Regi) attestierte das internationale
Investmentunternehmen LaSalle München 2012
Munich is booming. Between 2006 and 2012 the
city’s population increased by 6.6% – more than
nearly any other German city. For the first time in
the city’s history, it exceeded the 1.4 million mark.
And the trend continued unabated in 2012. Forecasts
say that the population of the Bavarian state
capital will have increased by 15% by 2030, up to
1.65 million inhabitants. The excellent economic
prospects, the robust labour market and the high
standard of living attract more new people to Munich
from Germany and elsewhere every year. The
broad and balanced economic and industry structure,
top-class research institutions and excellent
infrastructure ensure that Munich always retains
its ranking among the top commercial metropolises
of Europe. National and international comparisons
confirm Munich’s exceptional status.
The Initiative Neue Soziale Marktwirtschaft (INSM)
compared 90 socio-economic indicators in 50 major
German cities for its 2012 city ranking. The result:
Munich is Germany’s most successful major city
with the best economic framework conditions. In the
“European Regional Economic Growth Index” (E-Regi)
that is published annually, the international investment
company LaSalle said in 2012 that Munich had
the second-greatest potential for economic development
of all European cities. It analysed 326 large European
cities with regard to economic growth, prosperity
and the general business environment. Munich is the
