München - Dynamischer Wirtschaftsstandort und Kulturraum im Herzen Europas

Ob also Kunst, Theater, Literatur, Musik, Fasching,
Wissenschaft, Technik, Forschung oder Sport, in München
ist immer etwas los. Hier ist die kleine und ebenso
die große Welt zu Hause. Doch nicht vergessen,
oder gar übersehen darf man die Tradition, die Gastfreundschaft,
die Hilfsbereitschaft, die Gemütlichkeit
und das Münchner „G’müat“. Was nichts mit „Oans –
zwoa – drei – g’suffa“ zu tun hat.
In unserer schönen Stadt München gibt es ja nicht
nur Frühling, Sommer, Herbst und Winter. Oh nein,
bei uns kommen ja auch noch die Starkbierzeit und
die Dulten hinzu, letztere mit der klaren Erkenntnis:
„Alles, was Sie brauchen, das bekommen Sie hier! Und
was wir nicht haben, das brauchen Sie auch nicht“
oder auf Münchnerisch g’sagt: „Ma findt und kriagt
da oiss des, was ma dann doch nia braucht“, es gibt
den so beliebten, frühmorgendlichen Kocherlball, die
Münchner Vorstadt-Hochzeit, die Opern- und Ballett-
Festspiele, die Biergarten-Saison mit ihren unzähligen
„Brotzeit-Oasen“, sportliche Höhepunkte, vor allem
die weltberühmte „Wiesn“ und die ebenso beliebten
Christkindlmärkte.
Und dann die so herrliche Umgebung der Stadt. Ob mit
dem Radl, der S- oder U-Bahn, mit dem Zug, dem Auto
oder Bus, in kürzester Zeit erreicht man die schönsten
Fleckerl. Seen, Berge oder nur die freie Natur. Für jeden
ist etwas geboten.
Heißt es doch in einem alten Lied: „Wo fährt die
schöne Münchnerin, wenn Sommer ist, zum Baden
hin?“ Und die nächste Strophe: „Wo fährt die schöne
Münchnerin, im Winter dann zum Schi fahr’n hin?“ Bitte
schön, wählen Sie. Übrigens: Die „Schöne Münchnerin“
finden Sie nicht nur auf Gemälden in der Schönheitengalerie
im Schloss Nymphenburg. Der gleichnamige
Verein existiert seit über 25 Jahren, traditionell,
im „Münchner G’wand“.
Doch noch etwas Wichtiges hat, kennt und beherrscht
ein echter Münchner. Den oft überlebens-notwendigen
„Münchner Grant“. Den braucht er, dann fühlt er sich
„g’sund“. Wobei er aber niemals „g’schert“ ist. Das
verbietet der Anstand. Ansonsten sind die Münchner
herzlich, großzügig, generell für vieles weltoffen und sogar,
auch wenn’s viele nicht glauben wollen, humorig.
Leben und leben lassen. Dieser Leitspruch ist bei uns
noch eine goldene Grundregel. Oder aus meiner Sicht
betrachtet: „Wenn wir auch einmal nimmer leben, das
Münchner Herz wird’s immer geben.“
So whether it be art, theatre, literature, music, Carnival,
science, technology, research or sport. There is
always something going on in Munich. The world is at
home here. But one shouldn’t forget the tradition, the
hospitality, the readiness to help, the cosiness and the
attitude of Munich. And that has nothing to do with
getting drunk at the Oktoberfest.
In our beautiful town of Munich there is not just spring,
summer, autumn and winter. Oh no, here we also have
the strong-beer season and the Dult parish fairs where
you can buy almost anything your heart desires, and
quite a few things it doesn’t! And if they don’t have
it, you don’t need it; at least that’s how the true-blue
Münchner would gruffly put it. Then there is the earlymorning
Kocherlball dance once a year, originally the
only morning that the servants of the rich had off, the
Münchner Vorstadt-Hochzeit, the opera and ballet festivals,
the beer garden season, sporting highlights, the
Oktoberfest and the popular Christmas markets.
And then there is the wonderful countryside surrounding
the city. Whether you take your bike, the train, a car
or the bus, you can be in the most beautiful spots in no
time at all. Lakes, mountains or simply Mother Nature.
There is something for everyone here.
There is an old Bavarian song that asks the question:
“Where does the pretty Munich maiden go to swim
in the summer?” And in the next verse: “Where does
the pretty Munich maiden go to ski in the winter?” Indeed,
there are so many possibilities to choose from,
the question is certainly justified. By the way: Not only
in the gallery of beauties in Nymphenburg palace will
you find a “schöne Münchnerin”. The club that selects
this beauty queen every year has been in existence for
more than 25 years.
Real Münchners also master one thing: the grumpiness,
but not rudeness, that is also at home in the
heart of Munich’s natives. But at the same time, the
people of Munich are hospitable, generous, friendly,
open-minded and even if some may find it difficult to
believe, they have a great sense of humour.
Live and let live. That is a golden rule with us. And the
way I see it: “Even when we are long gone, the heart
of Munich will always keep beating.”
