Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1839 gilt Roeckl als Synonym
für feinste Lederhandschuhe und Premium-
Accessoires.
entsprechende Know-how konsequent gelebt, umgesetzt
ausgezeichnet. Zu den prominentesten Kunden
dieser Epoche zählten Bayerns König Ludwig II.
und die österreichische Kaiserin Elisabeth, besser bekannt
unter ihrem Rufnamen Sissi.
and depending on the model, can include more than
2,000 hand-sewn stitches. A Roeckl glove fits like a
second skin, offers full freedom of movement, tactile
sensitivity in the fingertips and optimum protection
from the cold. Attention to detail and commitment
to quality flow through everything that is done.
To guarantee the highest of quality, Roeckl manufactures
largely in its own workshops, ensuring that the
traditional craftsmanship and know-how are used and
passed on. The team thinks and acts holistically so
the high quality throughout the entire value chain can
be maintained, because that special something, the
authenticity can only be achieved with great care, expertise
and attention to detail throughout the entire
value chain – from design to manufacturing to sales.
This can be seen in the selection of the materials we
use, our own manufactory production and not least of
all in our expert sales advisory service, that embodies
the passion for the products. This is why Roeckl
is trusted internationally for its high quality, precision
and reliability.
The company is the European market leader and aims
to further consolidate this position. In doing so, Annette
Roeckl focuses on internationalising and on the
broad product range with leather gloves, silk scarves,
knitted accessories, the handbag range, junior collection
and the Roeckl Intelligence product line.
More than 170 years of Munich tradition
This tradition of craftsmanship began six generations
ago in Munich, as Jakob Roeckl opened his little workshop
and shop in 1839. This was followed by the tannery
and dye works. In 1870 his son Christian built a
large factory for up to 1,000 employees on what was
then the southern edge of the city, making Roeckl the
second-biggest employer here. The entrepreneurialism
paid dividends: in 1873 Roeckl was distinguished
with the coveted title of purveyor to the Bavarian
King’s court. Among the most prominent customers
during this époque were Bavaria’s King Ludwig II and
Austria’s Empress Elisabeth, better known as Sissi.
After the untimely accidental death of the father in
1890, Heinrich took over the family company at the
age of 24 and successfully continued on with the
course his father had set. After 1948 Dr. Heinrich
Franz Roeckl was responsible for the business and
he rebuilt the operation after WW2. His son Stefan
took over in 1966, marking the fifth generation of the
family in the business. He revolutionised the sports
glove division and laid the foundation stone for the
