<strong>of</strong> ceremonial activities in this part <strong>of</strong> the valley (Fig. 77). No fewer<br />

than eight rocks have been decorated with cupules <strong>and</strong> one other<br />

cupuled rock has either been destroyed by road constructions or<br />

removed <strong>and</strong> two others have been incorporated into nearby field walls<br />

(Menara 1984, 134).<br />

<strong>The</strong> flat top <strong>of</strong> the hillock, which <strong>of</strong>fers wide views in every direction,<br />

has three rocks with only cupules (see Fig. 77 for locations): No. 2 has<br />

one deep cupule <strong>and</strong> at least 27 smaller ones on a large outcrop (Fig.<br />

78); No’s 3 <strong>and</strong> 4<br />

(unpublished) are also<br />

outcrops, each with<br />

one single cupule. All<br />

the other decorated<br />

rocks are found at<br />
