and services whilst they are away from the office
– but without the restrictions of wires. No cables,
no telephone lines not even power sockets.
True mobile working should allow staff to access
systems and services from any location – literally,
from their car, on a train, from the end of a pier or
from a community centre or temporary hut that does
not have a telephone line or mains electricity. To
achieve true mobile working, staff must be fully selfsufficient
and carry everything they need to communicate
with their office and the outside world with
them. They should not rely on their location to provide
anything.”
