The Islamic Brass Tacks Of Behaviour Management
The human conflicts are the product of mind, heart and bodily needs when
they not unified. The lust and greed of worldly resources are the bases of bad
behavior and conduct. The Islamic ethical living style is actually the unification of
mind, soul and body. Other than Islam there is a separation in material and
spirituals development. But the Islamic behavior does not signify the separation
between spiritual life and practical life-mundane. Merely purifying the spiritual and
moral life of a man in a limited sense in this world is not the mandate of Islamic
brass tact. The relationships among men and between men for his physical
environment, this philosophy not only provide right bases of this relationship but
between Allah and man. It has following dimensions;
a. The understanding and use of proper words/language i.e. Holy Quran and
Hadith awareness.
b. The practical demonstration of the prophet of Islam (sunnah)
c. The Judicious use of time and space (Shaar Allah)
d. Respect to the humanity and keeping the company of righteous people.
e. The Following of the prophet of Islam (pbuh) behavioral/conduct and
methodology all time and places with full efforts till death
It only comes through prophetic teaching and practice as said by the lord of the
universe in surah Baqrah v.no. 151 as following
sins), and teaches you (the meanings of) the Book and wisdom and
teaches you (beneficial) knowledge which you did not have”
About this moral fiber, Khurshid ahmad (1960) writes that the moral life of a
Muslim will always be filled with godliness, piety, righteousness and truthfulness.
He will live in the world with the belief that God alone is the master of all worlds.
With this concept the man will constantly keep in view that one day he will have to
return to the Lord and submit an account of his entire life. The sense of
accountability will always remain firmly implanted in his mind and he will never
behave in a carefree and irresponsible way. Thus it supplies suitable and
satisfactory answers to this material world‟s affairs and Meta physical yearnings of
man too.
With this Islamic moral excellence and mental attitude, his life would be full
of purity, piety, love and unselfishness. Upholding of goodness, nobility, right and
truth even at the cost of his life would his character traits. Abhorring all shades of
injustice and standing firm for truth, undaunted in the tempests of adversity. This
character will be bound to succeed. This behavior is a blessing for mankind.
(Kemal, 1993) writes that the words “life” and “death” to a man should be
