ПСИХОСТИМУЛЯТОРЫ
Препараты, стимулирующие мозговую деятельность, набирают
популярность среди молодежи, особенно среди студентов,
отмечает Medical Express. Университет Калифорнии доказал:
такие средства действительно способны улучшить показатели
на непродолжительное время, но они негативно отражаются на
сне и рабочей памяти. Также возможно ослабление внимания в
течение дня.
Был проведен эксперимент: 43 добровольца 18-35 лет проходили
тестирование на определение изначальных показателей
внимательности и рабочей памяти. Позднее добровольцы
получали плацебо или 20 миллиграммов декстроамфетамина (психостимулятор). С 75-минутным и 12- и
24-часовым интервалами после приема средства добровольцы снова проходили тестирование на внимание и
рабочую память. Ночью же их мозговую активность отслеживали с помощью электроэнцефалографии.
Оказалось, днем психостимулятор давал лишь незначительное улучшение работы мозга. К примеру, внимание
усиливалось всего на 4%. Для рабочей памяти вообще никаких плюсов не было. А вот ночью нарушался сон -
общая продолжительность сна сокращалась и качество сна снижалось.
