Unique Mixture A specific combination of 2 or more compounds, regardless of the<br />

Viable Salmonid An independent population of Pacific salmon or steelhead trout<br />

Population that has a negligible risk of extinction over a 100-year time frame.<br />

Viability at the independent population scale is evaluated based on the<br />

parameters of abundance, productivity, spatial structure, <strong>and</strong> diversity.<br />

VSP Parameters Abundance, productivity, spatial structure, <strong>and</strong> diversity. These describe<br />

characteristics of salmonid populations that are useful in evaluating<br />

population viability. See NOAA Technical Memor<strong>and</strong>um NMFS-<br />

WDFW Washington Department of Fish <strong>and</strong> Wildlife is a co-manager of<br />

salmonids <strong>and</strong> salmonid fisheries in Washington State with WWTIT <strong>and</strong><br />

other fisheries groups. The agency was formed in the early 1990s by the<br />

combination of the Washington Department of <strong>Fisheries</strong> <strong>and</strong> the<br />

Washington Department of Wildlife.<br />

WWTIT Western Washington Treaty Indian Tribes is an organization of Native<br />

American tribes with treaty fishing rights recognized by the U.S.<br />

government. WWTIT is a co-manager of salmonids <strong>and</strong> salmonid<br />

fisheries in western Washington in cooperation with the WDFW <strong>and</strong> other<br />

fisheries groups.<br />
