An example of a conceptual model is presented in Figure 3 for Pacific salmonids. In it, we illustrate where the pesticides generally reside in the environment following application, how pesticides may co-occur with listed species and their habitats, and how the individuals/habitat may respond upon exposure to them. In the case of Pacific salmonids, we ascribe exposure and response to specific life stages of individuals and then assess individual fitness endpoints sensitive to the action’s stressors. 44
