SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT (SCC)<br />

GENERAL:<br />

The Special Conditions of Contract shall be read in conjunction with the General<br />

Conditions of Contract, Schedule of rates, specifications, drawings and any other<br />

documents forming part of contract, wherever the context so requires. Notwithstanding<br />

the sub-division of the documents into these separate sections and volumes, every<br />

part of each shall be deemed to be supplementary to and complementary of every<br />

other part and shall be read with and into the CONTRACT so far as it may be<br />

practicable to do so.<br />

Where any portion of the General Condition of Contract is repugnant to or at variance<br />

with any provisions of the Special Conditions of Contract, unless a different intention<br />

appears, the provisions of the Special Conditions of Contract shall be deemed to override<br />

the provisions of the General Conditions of Contract and shall to the extent of<br />

such repugnancy, or variations, prevail.<br />

Wherever it is mentioned in the specifications that the CONTRACTOR shall perform<br />

certain WORK or provide certain facilities, it is understood that the CONTRACTOR<br />

shall do so at his cost and the VALUE OF CONTRACT shall be deemed to have<br />

included cost of such performance and provisions, so mentioned.<br />

1.0 SPECIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT<br />

1.1 INTRODUCTION<br />

<strong>GAIL</strong> (India) Ltd., a Govt. of India enterprise ( henceforth called as <strong>GAIL</strong>) is<br />

one of the largest gas processing, transmission & marketing Organization in<br />

the country, desires to have Comprehensive Maintenance Support Services<br />

(henceforth called as MSS) & Facility Management Services (henceforth<br />

called as <strong>FMS</strong>) contract for smooth operation of the following IT<br />

Infrastructure:-<br />

1.1.1 Enterprise-wide existing / upcoming desktop / laptop PC Systems,<br />

Printers, UPS & associated Peripherals.<br />

1.1.2 Existing Servers at IT Data Centre, Noida(U.P), as per Annexure-‘C’<br />

and Servers of other locations, Networking equipments / devices, Line<br />

Printers, UPS and associated Network accessories / peripherals of all other<br />

Locations (including Noida), as per Annexure ‘B’.<br />

Comprehensive Maintenance Support Services (MSS) shall cover<br />

Maintenance & repair of IT Systems, covered under the Scope of Work,<br />

including all kind of breakdown and preventive Maintenance, replacement<br />

of parts, modules, sub-modules, assemblies, sub-assemblies, spares etc.<br />

Facility Management Services (<strong>FMS</strong>) shall cover various technical services<br />

such as support for Desktop Management Services, Network & Server<br />

management Services, Data Center Management Services, Database<br />

Management Services, Backup services, e-mail, Intranet, Internet services,<br />

Vendor Management services, Help Desk services etc. for all the IT System,<br />

including Systems under Warranty. This is aimed to achieve maximum<br />
