(c) After repair, the Contractor shall bring the machine to its
satisfactory & acceptable working condition. Sub standard / repaired
Spare parts in lieu of irreparable components will not be accepted at
GAIL as a spare parts replacement.
(d) The outside cleaning of all the Systems / Sub-systems will be
done at least once a quarter. Cleaning of internal parts of the
Systems will be done by the contractor during preventive
maintenance. Required portable vacuum cleaner, brush, tools and
cleaning agent / material etc. shall be arranged by the contractor.
The external cleaning shall be done by using standard cleaning
agents which do not cause any damage to the Systems / Subsystems.
(e) Contractor will educate the users at GAIL regarding the best
practices of using the PCs like not sharing the hard disk, protecting
the PC with Screen saver, setting of clock as per IST etc. The users
will be educated and trained so as to ensure the proper
implementation of the available feature available with Desktop /
laptop.
(f) Contractor shall ensure that all the PCs are configured for auto
updating of the VIRUS signature from a central server (provided by
GAIL) having the latest active VIRUS definitions at respective
locations. Such VIRUS updations shall be ensured & carried out by
the Contractor on all the PCs on a weekly basis.
(g) The Contractor shall make his own arrangements for bringing
the spare parts, software tools & testing equipments for providing
the services. The Contractor shall maintain sufficient inventory of
frequently required OEM / OEM certified / genuine spare parts like
Motherboard, CPU, RAM, DAT Driver, CD Drive, Power supply, Hard
disks, Keyboard, Monitors, CRTs, Mouse, device drivers, utility
software, various cables, connectors and other spare parts of
Servers & Networking devices etc., to ensure fulfillment of SLR.
However, GAIL will extend the facility of storage of these items
under lock & key, at the risk of the Contractor at major office / plant
locations. GAIL will not be held responsible for any missing standby
Systems / spare parts / tools etc. from the inventory of the
contractor.
(h) The Contractor shall ensure uninterrupted availability of OEM /
OEM certified / genuine spare parts of PCs, Printers, Scanners, UPS
& other Peripherals. Contractor must be having sufficient expertise &
required resources available for prompt maintaining / servicing /
repairing of PCs & Peripherals. A comprehensive list of such spares
will be provided to the respective IT in charge.
(i) If any System / Sub-system give repeated / recurring problems,
resulting in recurring failure of the System then the system shall be
immediately replaced by the Contractor with same make & similar or
higher model / configuration System, acceptable to IT In-charges of
respective sites.
