upcoming locations on need basis. In that case, GAIL will pay the cost of
the engineer as per the rate quoted by the contractor as per SOR.
(f) The Contractor shall ensure that the team of Resident service engineers
(RSE) should be having Degree (4 years duration)/ Diploma / BCA (three
years duration) in Electronics / Computer Engineering / E&T / IT from
Govt. recognized Institutes & shall have minimum two years in-line job
experience & shall be capable to carry out all the activities of MSS & FMS
to meet the SLR stipulated in the contract.
(g) All the resident service engineers (RSE) deputed by the contractor for
execution of the contract shall be regular employee of the contractor. The
proof (PF number and copy of the PF card) to this effect should be
produced as and when required by GAIL. Sub-contract / franchisee in
terms of manpower deployment will not be acceptable.
(h) The Contractor shall make its deputed personnel’s reporting place at
respective GAIL offices. Normally, the comprehensive maintenance & FM
Services will be required during GAIL’s working hours from 0915 hours to
1745 hours for six days a week basis. Locations, having more than one
RSE’s, can be asked to come in shift, if so desired by Site EIC.
(i) Contractor shall provide services beyond normal working hours in critical /
emergency situation and during GAIL closed / listed holidays, including
Sunday, without any additional cost to GAIL, whenever such emergency
services are required, as decided by GAIL IT In-charge of respective
location. In case, any critical job has been started during the working
hours, it has to be completed on the same day, even if it continues beyond
the working hours of GAIL.
(j) All the Resident Desktop Support Engineers, deployed at various
locations, shall provide FMS Support for the installed PCs & Peripherals
devices of that location, irrespective of Systems Warranty Status, without
any cost implication to GAIL, till the time of expiry of warranty of those
Systems. However, payment will be made as per SOR, towards FMS
support for all such PCs (under Warranty) where no Resident Support
engineer has been deployed and GAIL requires covering those Systems
under FMS.
(k) Resident support engineer deployed at various locations shall also
provide FMS support to associated terminals / site offices on requirement
basis. However, in order to meet SLR contractor can depute additional
technical resource from their nearby offices for providing FMS support to
associated terminal / site offices of parent site.
(l) All leave and/or absence of the personnel deployed will have to be
planned in advance and proper replacement to be made available. In
order to meet the contingency arising out of sudden and unplanned
absence of key professionals, SUCCESSFUL BIDDER may get the profile of
panel of professionals proposed to be substituted, approved from GAIL at
the commencement of the contract and at such intervals as required.
(m) On need basis, RSEs shall be visiting the terminals / sub locations
related and associated to the main location. Accordingly, the conveyances
