to Riots, Earthquake, Fire, Flood, lightening or other natural physical<br />

disaster.<br />

(e) In case <strong>GAIL</strong> decides to carry out all such one time repair through the<br />

Contractor at any / all locations, the agreed maintenance / repair<br />

charges under OTMC will be paid along with next Quarterly bill. Such<br />

charges shall be paid subject to the completion of the repairs by the<br />

Contractor and due certification by EIC of respective sites. The decision<br />

of <strong>GAIL</strong> in this regard shall be final and binding on the Contractor.<br />

(f) Subsequent to satisfactory repair and acceptance by <strong>GAIL</strong>, the repaired<br />

unit shall be covered for <strong>FMS</strong> & MSS as per unit rates agreed under the<br />

contract.<br />

2.2. FACILITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES (<strong>FMS</strong>)<br />

Facility Management Services for Desktop, laptop, handheld devices like<br />

imate, Networking & Servers Infrastructure shall include total Desktop /<br />

Laptop Management Services, Network Management Services, Server &<br />

RDBMS Management Services, Data Backup & Restore Management<br />

Services, Communicatiuon Link management Services, Support for IT<br />

enabled Services such as e-mail, Intranet, Internet, Fax etc., Virus<br />

protection services, Internet access gateway management, including<br />

Firewalls, Proxy servers / Services, Vendor Management Services, Asset<br />

Management Services, Web casting services and Help Desk Services.<br />

The details of each of the services are given in the following Para. The <strong>FMS</strong><br />

services pertaining to Servers and Networking infrastructure shall be<br />

provided at Data center, Noida, without any additional cost implication to<br />

<strong>GAIL</strong>, till the time of expiry of warranty of those systems from respective<br />

system suppliers.<br />

All the Resident Support Engineers, deployed at various locations, shall also<br />

provide <strong>FMS</strong> support to all the installed PCs & Peripherals of that location,<br />

without any additional cost implication to <strong>GAIL</strong>, till the time of expiry of<br />

warranty of those systems.<br />

Following Facility Management Services (<strong>FMS</strong>) shall be provided by the<br />

Contractor at all locations under the scope of the Contract:-<br />

2.2.1. DESKTOP, LAPTOP & PERIPHERALS MANAGEMENT SERVICES<br />

Enterprise-wide Facility Management Services shall be provided by the<br />

Contractor for all the Installed PCs / Peripherals at respective sites,<br />

including the following as mentioned below alongwith all other actions,<br />

which are necessary for optimum utilization of the PCs.<br />

Contractor should note that some of the Desktop / Laptop PCs &<br />

Peripherals systems are currently under Comprehensive Warranty support<br />

upto different point of time with respective Vendors of the Systems. During<br />

the Warranty period, only <strong>FMS</strong> services, as indicated below, shall be<br />

covered under the scope of the Contractor. However, after expiry of<br />

Warranty period, these Computer systems & other associated Peripherals<br />
