Following services are covered under <strong>FMS</strong>:-<br />
a) Maintaining, installing Operating Systems; repair, disconnection and<br />
reconnection of Desktop, Laptop, handheld devices like imate, Printers,<br />
Monitors, Scanners, Modems, Utility peripherals as and when required. In<br />
addition to this, installation, updation, removal and maintenance of SAP<br />
GUI, office automation or any other such client related software packages<br />
either automatically through a system (login scripts / EMS) or manually<br />
visiting each device is to be carried out by the vendor. Contractor has to<br />
provide other misclleneous services such as relocation of Systems, adding /<br />
removing accessories, attachment or other devices peripherals.<br />
b) Installating, reloading, reconfigurating, updating of any desktop client<br />
machine for e-mail, Internet explorer, Intranet, Internet etc., as and when<br />
required, under MS Exchange environment or any other future<br />
change/modification.<br />
c) Configuration / reconfiguration of client machines to ensure optimum<br />
network connectivity and services availability to all Users.<br />
d) Re-establishment of the network connectivity and services availability after<br />
any hardware / software failure.<br />
e) Maintaining record of all new installed machines, movement of machines<br />
within site, change in configuration of machines.<br />
f) Regular checkup and cleaning of registry to protect the PCs against the<br />
Viruses / Worms. <strong>GAIL</strong> will provide anti virus tool for diagnosing &<br />
rectifying any virus problems by the contractor. However, in the extreme<br />
cases, the contractor shall bring his own tools / software for providing such<br />
services at sites.<br />
g) Configuring the print server, loading of Printer Driver and resolving all<br />
printing problems of Users.<br />
h) Rectification of the problem of UPS including replacement of UPS Batteries.<br />
i) Arranging / Downloading Software patches / drivers of peripherals /<br />
Software tools and upgrades from Internet or from concerned software<br />
principals and its subsequent application at designated PCs / Peripherals.<br />
j) Checking the external LAN connections / communications which are<br />
considered parts of machines for un-interrupted desktop operation.<br />
k) Providing operational support to installed DLP Projectors, as and when<br />
required.<br />
l) Providing operational support to installed Tandberg Video Conferencing<br />
systems, as and when required.<br />
m) Proper Asset Management of the PCs / peripherals.<br />
