FMS - GAIL

The contractor shall provide ink cartridges / ribbons / toner cartridges for
the substitute / standby printers in case the models supplied are other than
those available at the affected location, till original GAIL’s printers are
repaired / restored after satisfactory repairs.
2.4 ESSENTIAL STOCK TO BE KEPT AT SITE
(a) The Contractor is advised to maintain a stock of complete units to be
used as substitutes and requisite critical units, spares, components, device
drivers, other utility software, cables, connectors at all sites to fulfill the SLR.
No Form-31 will be provided by GAIL for storing the spares stock at sites.
(b) Stock of Spares: At all the sites where RSEs have been deployed, the
contractor shall maintain stock of spares at any point of time (on-site) to the
tune of minimum 5% of the annual MSS/FMS value for the respective site
which will include motherboards, CPU, RAM, CD-Drive, CD-writer, HDD,
SMPS, Graphic cards, 10/100 autosensing NICs, 15’” color monitors,
keyboards, mouse, fuser assembly, component level spares of networking
equipments like modules,memory chips and power supply units etc.
© The spare inventory should be OEM Make / OEM certified. In case of non
availability of any OEM make spares, vendor shall ensure the availability of
new and genuine parts which must be approved by the respective site EIC.
(d) Contractor shall submit a status report on monthly basis to IT incharges
of respective sites, confirming that required number of Spare parts is
available at sites.
(e) The GAIL site EIC will ensure that the contractor is provided with
adequate secure storage space under lock & key. EIC of respective sites shall
inspect the stock before the commencement of the contract and may carry
out the inspection from time-to-time so as to ensure that proper stock levels
are being maintained / replenished by the Contractor. The standby stockes
shall be returned to the vendor at the end of the contract. Hence, all the
records shall be kept by the Vendor so that the spares/standby can be
returned back accordingly to the Vendor at the end of the contract.
(f) The Contractor shall create maintenance facilities at respective sites
where RSE has been deputed and arrange for all the requisite tools for
hardware and software, test equipment and any other aid or help to their
service engineers for effectively and efficiently taking up maintenance of the
machines at various locations, at no extra cost to GAIL. The GAIL’s site EIC
can inspect the facilities time-to-time.
(g) The Contractor shall ensure availability of tool kits, portable Vacuum
cleaner/blower, cleaning agent, and duster, crimping tool etc. at all the
resident engineer’s deputed sites.
