3. In the "Symbolic Name" field, enter an alias name of your choice.
4. In the "Instrument Type" field, select the device family to connect to.
Tip: The option selected determines the maximum number of samples that can be
generated.
5. In the "Instruments Limits" group box, important limits of the selected instrument are
displayed.
6. If remote control connection via LAN interface is chosen, fill in the IP Address or
instrument name for the connected instrument in the "Instrument Name/IP
Address" field of the LAN group box.
7. In the "Hardware Channel" field of the "Remote Control" group box, select the VISA
connection. For each of the channels, unique address information is required, the
user interface changes accordingly.
Channel
Address name
USB Serial Number, e.g., 100012
The number can be found on the rear panel of the instrument, above the barcode.
LAN
Instrument name / IP Address
The instrument name consists of the following parts:
RS
You find the 6-digit serial number on the rear panel of the instrument.
Example:
RSAFQ100A100004
GPIB Address, e.g., 19
8. Click "OK" to confirm the settings and to close the dialog.
9. Click the "Apply" button to confirm the settings.
